Here’s just a little bit about me and what sampsoncreative can possibly do for you.
I’m Dean Sampson and am the owner and creative director of sampsoncreative.
I have been working in the creative industry for over 20 years.
In industry terms I am a Graphic Designer and Art Director.
Although latterly I have cut my teeth as a Creative Director at brayleino, my last employer.
Generally speaking, I like to think of myself as a creative communicator.
I believe over the years I have accumulated a unique blend of skills for a creative.
As a fully qualified graphic designer with a HND and BA Hons degree, I have had the opportunity
to work in the Design & Advertising/Marketing fields. I have also had the good fortune to work
across many disciplines within these fields learning from fantastic people every step of the way.
As you will see from my work, it covers a broad range of disciplines.
Corporate Identity, Branding and Packaging, traditional Advertising to modern day Brand Experience,
Branded Content and Web Design.
Other skills I have learned along the way are Project/Time Management, People Management and Mentoring,
Agency and Departmental Restructuring, Strategy/Planning and Film Direction/Editing.
All of which prove very useful in the production of great creative work today.
So what is sampsoncreative?
Pretty much what it says on the tin, with a slight difference.
In today’s financially led markets, cost is king and most often it is at the detriment of better creative work.
This doesn’t have to be the case.
Some of my observations and in truth; frustrations has been a lack of agility or ‘lightness of foot’ in larger agencies.
By this I mean, with the nature of such structures; over-service, poor communications and increased timelines
is a regular occurrence. Inevitably this causes increased costs, as well as having a detrimental effect on the creative
end product and it’s overall performance.
I can run a service where I can bring in expertise where/when required.
So you only pay for what you need.
You will have specialists working on your business all the time.
The best creative talents are freelancing, so utilising this, will produce a product of at least comparable
quality, whilst maintaining a more competitive cost and timeline.
No project is too big or too small.
This model is completely scalable, providing a more relevant service for the modern economic world we live and work in.
